SOMETIMES GROWING UP

MEANS FACING YOUR DEMONS

The son of a struggling single mother, Jamie Conklin just wants an ordinary childhood. But Jamie is no ordinary child. Born with an unnatural ability his mom urges him to keep secret, Jamie can see what no one else can see and learn what no one else can learn. But the cost of using this ability is higher than Jamie can imagine – as he discovers when an NYPD detective draws him into the pursuit of a killer who has threatened to strike from beyond the grave.

LATER is Stephen King at his finest, a terrifying and touching story of innocence lost and the trials that test our sense of right and wrong. With echoes of King’s classic novel It, LATER is a powerful, haunting, unforgettable exploration of what it takes to stand up to evil in all the faces it wears.

Hopefully he cuts out his TDS. The last 4 or 5 books, he ALWAYS has to throw his little jabs at our President, and it gets REALLY old after awhile. Hope his tantrums are over now.

In response to the previous comment. I loved SK's criticism about the former president. All of SK's books, not just the past few, criticize the former p; in a sense. Look at the traits and value systems of the antagonists and look at the former p. SK did not change, nor is he tantruming....you just never understood that the author you admire doesn't share your values. The antagonists in SK's books shared similarities with t, even before he was president. A scary dude (poor value system) is a scary dude and makes for great fiction (fiction?).

Excellent. I finished it in eight hours and for once I felt very satisfied with this ending of a story about growing up and having to deal with what life throws at you, sooner or later!
