I just adore Laura Greenwood books and this is no exception. I actually jumped into the Black Fan series with Bite of the Oath which is book 3. Bindi & Julian's story is written in such a way that I didn't feel lost with backstory at all. A lot about the characters are revealed throughout the story and are very intriguing. The vampire world Laura Greenwood has created is so unique and fascinating that I must go grab all previous and future books in Thr Black Fan series. This was a lovely page turner about friendship, love and good vampires trying to help those less fortunate for the betterment of vampires & humans alike. I am recommending the whole series or even just this one as a standalone. Kudos Laura Greenwood, kudos!

'Bite of the Oath' is Laura Greenwood's third book in her "Black Fan" series. This is where we get Bindi and Julian's story and if you've read the blurb, then you know that Julian has asked Bindi to be his pretend fiancée. What it doesn't give you is their friendship, relationship, love for each other. She's also brought in the concern for the poor and disadvantaged, so we have the social outlook as well. It was a fun, thought-provoking read

I was so happy to return to 'The Black Fan' and 'The City of Blood'. I love vampire stories and I really enjoy reading about the characters that make up Laura Greenwood's vampire world. I got engrossed in the story as soon as I started reading it and did not want to put it down until I was completely done. This was a fake dating romance that turned into the real thing. I love stories like those. It was interesting and funny and overall, a very enjoyable read. I wish it was a little bit longer though because Laura Greenwoods books about the 'City of Blood' are my favorite. I can't wait to read more about her vampire world! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
