I love this series so far. Well, Chloe and Oscar survived the chaos at the end of the last book, however everything is now different for Oscar. Things get a lot harder for Oscar and Chloe both because the shortage of blood but they do get some help from Catherine. This book is exciting and Chloe and Oscar are getting a little more closer. The way the story ended has me anticipating the release of the next story so much. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

'Drought of Blood' is book two in the "City of Blood Trilogy" by Laura Greenwood and this one definitely had a little quicker pace than book one. Chloe has survived the Rebellion executions but she's illegally turned Oscar into a vampire in order to save his life. Now he doesn't have an ID, they're hiding in Chloe's one-bedroom apartment, and the Mayor has started restricting the amount of blood vampires are allowed to have. The plot thickens when Chloe receives an invitation to the Mayor's party. Expect drama, twists, turns, and promises of help. Now I'm anxious to see what happens next.

This book continues from Book 1 with Chloe surviving the rebellion and having turned Oscar into a vampire. The main characters have a lot to deal with in this dystopian-type drama. The storyline is intriguing and the characters make me want to read till their conclusion. Looking forward to the next book.
