Cassie loves using science to find answers. Solving crimes with her skills is a thrill... Knowing people died, and that's why she has a case to solve? That's motivation to work faster, smarter and harder. She and her team of three guys have been together for two years since the previous book, and while their relationships are progressing, and their interactions keep things interesting, the whodunit aspect is front and center, and feels like the larger part of the story.

Spell Tamer (Paranormal Criminal Investigations #2) is a fun paranormal crime mystery story. It is an entertaining easy read, and I read it rather quickly. There is action of the supernatural, paranormal type, a little drama, some surprises, and a very intriguing murder mystery. Once again, Cassie and her crew are up to the task of solving a very challenging series of interconnected crimes, murders to be exact. They are the only ones who can do so. With her mates Hadrian, Isaac, and Zack by her side, she will make sure her team succeeds and bring justice to the victims. I enjoyed reading this, the second book in this series, and look forward to reading the next book in the Paranormal Criminal Investigations series. I usually don’t read mysteries, but this one was kinda interesting. The lead female and her three mates were part of a team that did investigations and their case seemed to be on the weird side.
