Nic an Ani are sent to another temple given a task neither are sure they're qualified to perform. While there, Ani becomes suspicious about that temple's blessed. I love these characters. They're all wonderfully well written and fascinating, but Ani and Nic are particularly compelling. I enjoy their interactions and their ability to find trouble even when they're not looking for it. A little romance, a mystery, an interesting world, and an unexpected twist, I definitely think this is a must read

I enjoyed this book, Ani and Nik have to go to York in his father’s place. There the meet another Blessed, Apprentice Neheb. Only something is wrong at this temple too. It seems no matter where this couple goes they seem to find trouble. A short quick read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Secrets in York! The priestesses of Ma'at have taken over the investigation of the temple of Anubis. Ani and Nik are trying to stay out of trouble but it always seems to find them even when they travel to York to oversee a funeral. The request was for the High Priest so why are they being sent instead? Ani senses something off about the Blessed Priest of York Temple but she would like confirmation before getting in new trouble. What a fun series! There is more intrigue and more romance.
