About this ebook

The NHL's biggest bad boy is about to fall for the virgin next door…

I am the world’s biggest dating failure. We’re talking my last date went home with our waitress kind of failure.

But I have an ace in the back pocket of my mom jeans—my sexy-as-sin best friend, NHL superstar forward, Justin Cruise.

Justin owes me favors dating back to seventh grade, long before he became a hotshot with a world famous…stick. So in return for my undying platonic loyalty, all I want is an easy-peasy crash course on how to be a sex goddess.

How hard can it be?

I have never been so hard in my life.

The things I want to do to my sweet, kindergarten-teaching, mitten-crocheting best friend Libby Collins are ten different kinds of wrong. Maybe twenty.

But I’m a firm believer in teaching by example, and by the end of our first lesson, we’ve graduated to a hands on approach to her sexual education: my hands all over her, her hands all over me, and her hot mouth melting beneath mine as I prove to her there isn’t a damned thing wrong with the way she kisses.

Give me a month, and I’ll transform Libby from wall flower to wall banger, and ensure she’s confident enough to seduce any guy she wants.

Problem is… the only guy I want her seducing is me.

Free ebook with phone. 3 1/2 - 4 stars. Light romance, with humour & a tiny touch of erotica, to keep it interesting. Well written with believable & loveable characters. Everything works about this novel, I found myself transported & unable to put it down. Only criticism is it's a little too 'light' on substance to get 5/5. My favourite books are usually more intense & have a slight edge to them. But this was refreshing, & sometimes it's nice to just read a good uncomplicated romantic comedy like this.

Lili Valente scores with HOT AS PUCK. NHL forward, Justin Cruise, helps his kindergarten-teacher best friend, Libby Collins, by giving her dating lessons. This contemporary sports romance takes place in Portland. HOT AS PUCK is a fun “friends turned lovers” romance. Admittingly, I instantaneously liked the main character, Justin, because he has the same name as my son, they both play hockey, and have hazel eyes with dark hair. That being said, it got a little weird during some of the scenes, and I quickly had to get my son out of my thoughts when reading the story. I like Justin and Libby. They have been friends since they were kids. Libby taught him how to crochet when he was sick in bed with mono. Neither one of them has ever thought about the other romantically, until his twenty-eighth birthday party, and then they were both in denial. Libby asks Justin to give her dating lessons because she feels she is socially awkward. There are a lot of entertaining dialogs and imagery throughout the story. One of my personal favorites was Libby’s comparison to all massive toothed worms in 1980s movies. You’ll have to read the story to find out what I’m talking about – it’s in chapter six. I also love Libby’s and Laura’s texts. HOT AS PUCK has a great plot. It is well-written and hard to put down. I loved the ending. I’m looking forward to Libby’s sister, Laura’s story with Justin’s teammate/captain, Brendan, SEXY MOTHERPUCKER. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

I really loved this book! Another winner by Lili Valente. The humor has to be my favorite thing about this book besides the characters. It's one of my favorite troupes friends to lovers. All I can say is Libby is a girl after my own heart. She likes cats and is a crafter. I just adored Justin. Libby and Justin are so adorable together. I liked his hobby he shares with his best bud. Of course being a hunky hockey player just adds to his appeal. I enjoyed the total rom com moment they had. My heart definitely happy sighed. The ending was just perfect for these two.

About the author

Author of over forty novels, USA Today Bestseller Lili Valente writes everything from steamy suspense to laugh-out-loud romantic comedies. A die-hard romantic and optimist at heart, she can’t resist a story where love wins big. Because love should always win.

When she’s not writing, Lili enjoys adventuring with her two sons, climbing on rocks, swimming too far from shore, and asking “why” an incorrigible number of times per day. A former yoga teacher, actor, and dancer, she is also very bendy and good at pretending innocence when caught investigating off-limits places.

You can currently find Lili in the mid-South, valiantly trying to resist the lure of all the places left to explore.

Lili also writes super naughty books as L. Valente.
