About this ebook

Enjoy this clean, small town romance by award winning and bestselling author, Lucinda Race.

Kate will fight for love, won't she?

When Don made the choice to follow Kate to her hometown, Loudon, he walked away from the family business, Crystal Lake Winery, and his passion for winemaking.

Now, several years later, as Don and Kate struggle to conceive a baby, his father's failing health brings them back to Crystal Lake. Even as Don revels in his chance to manage the winery, Kate feels the life they made together is slipping away-especially when she discovers that Don may have fathered a child he doesn't even know about.

Will picking up the threads of his old life in Crystal Lake be more than their marriage can endure? Kate is worried their relationship is in jeopardy, but that's when the ghost of Kate's father makes an appearance.

If Kate is scared to leave, can a nudge send her soaring into a new life?

Ready to Soar is the fifth novel in the McKenna Family Romance Series, although each book can be read as standalone. A clean romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after. Happy reading!

Don and Kate are at a crossroads in their life. He wants to accept the offer to run his family’s business after his father’s health scare and she’s afraid to take a risk and leave her mother’s cafe behind. They have a lot of communication issues and she makes some big assumptions that could ruin their marriage. I felt for her struggling to have a baby. But there were times she wasn’t so nice to others because of her insecurities.

Katie and Don are married, trying for baby. Aftrr college she returned to home town and a few weeks later, he followed her, leaving his home and family to be with her. When his father has a heart attack, they visit his family and can offer of an excellent opportunity is made..he is to be CEO of the family wine business and she will have a restaurant built for her. There are of course going to be changes and positive outcomes, but they are drawn out. Changes are hard to accept at times. Don is kind, considerate, caring, career minded, positive, sensible and sensitive, but I did not warm to Katie. She has a temper, suspicious nature, quick to judge and jump to unsubstantiated conclusions and opinions, wallows in her own misery at times and has nt concept of herself and her behaviour towards or on others. She is surrounded by positive people and her negativity is self absorbed, because others see what she can't. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily

About the author

Award winning author Lucinda Race writes about family, love and happily ever afters.

Award-winning author Lucinda Race is a lifelong fan of romantic fiction. As a young girl, she spent hours reading romance novels and getting lost in the hope they represent. While her friends dreamed of becoming doctors and engineers, her dreams were to become a writer—a romance novelist.

As life twisted and turned, she found herself writing nonfiction but longed to turn to her true passion. After developing the storyline for The Loudon Series, it was time to start living her dream. Her fingers practically fly over computer keys as she weaves stories about strong women and the men who love them.

Lucinda lives with her husband and their two little dogs, a miniature long hair dachshund and a shitzu mix rescue, in the rolling hills of western Massachusetts. When she's not at her day job, she’s immersed in her fictional worlds. And if she’s not writing romance novels, she’s reading everything she can get her hands on. It’s too bad her husband doesn’t cook, but a very good thing he loves takeout.
