A lot of people and plot twists. A lot of things happen over a short time period. If you don't enjoy the challenge of keeping track of many balls in the air at one time then this book isn't for you. I appreciate the author introducing each character and their back story then weaving them all together as the main plot progresses. I really enjoyed the book!
