Dariusz Jemielniak, Ph.D. is Associate Professor of Management and the head of the Center for Research on Organizations and Workplaces (CROW) at Kozminski University in Poland. He held visiting appointments at Cornell University (2004-2005), Harvard University (2007 and 2011-2012), University of California Berkeley (2008). His research interests include workplace practices in knowledge intensive work, software development, as well as open collaboration communities (which he currently studies on the example of Wikipedia, through a long-term ethnographic project). He recently published a book on The New Knowledge Workers (2012, Edward Elgar). He is the editor-in-chief of Tamara Journal for Critical Organization Inquiry.

Abigail Marks, Ph.D. is Professor of Work and Employment and the Director of the Centre for Research on Work and Wellbeing (CROWW) at the School of Management & Languages; Department of Business Management, Heriot-Watt University of Edinburgh in the UK. Abigail’s research interests evolve around social psychology and industrial sociology, and include workplace identities, class and stratification, employability and the construction of professions, in particular in the ICT industry. She has published in a number of leading journals including Work, Employment and Society; Human Relations and the British Journal of Industrial Relations as well as contributing to several edited collections and a research monograph. She was an organizer of the International Labour Process Conference in 2009 and the International Workshop on Teamworking in 2010. [Editor]
