This story was a lot of fun! It has romance, humor, and suspense. Spencer is a former Navy Seal who works with a bunch of guys for a specialized security company. He meets pediatric nurse Joslin at a pet store while he's there with his pup Frankie. They are just the sweetest trio, even with all of the crazy stuff going on around them. Spencer is so sweet, protective, and hot! How can a girl resist that? This is the first book that I have read in The Pelican Bay Security series, but it won't be the last. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a nice read. For reason I just couldn’t connect with Joslin. She came off as a hot mess to me.
