Die Spannung zwischen Mystik und Skepsis in Ciorans Aphorismen wird zunächst aus literaturwissenschaftlicher Perspektive beleuchtet, um sie dann in hermeneutisch geprägten Passagen mit der Selbstverpflichtung Ciorans zur Redlichkeit zu erläutern: Der Skeptiker muss seine Mission fortsetzen.
