Maura and Curtis's story is one I didn't want to put down, their story is interesting, well-written and intriguing. Maura runs the local Hotel/Motel whilst battling her brother's creative tendencies. She met Curtis, a damphir, when she became distracted by the sound of drums, she investigated and followed their sound. Maura and Curtis's relationship starts away from the rest of the MacGregor family who can be relied upon to entertain but don't worry the rest of the family soon arrive to help Maura and Curtis.

Maura runs the local Motel/Hotel with one of her older brothers. Most times, she wonders why she bothers with the problems she has to deal with. Customer complaints, streaking uncles, you know the norm.( her uncle not the customers) When she starts having visions of a past that's not her own, she can't shake the feeling something ominous is coming. Curtis is on the run from his past. In a town with supernaturals, it wouldn't be a good thing if people found out who his ancestor was. He's been found and ordered back home, by means necessary. During his escape, his injured, that's when Maura runs into him saving his life. Now both of them are in mortal ( or immortal )danger. They must fight in the past in order to save the future! This is the perfect story for Halloween! Witches, vamps, ghost and steam, oh my! The twist, the turns and the ending, I didn't see that coming! I truly loved it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This is another good read in the "Warlocks MacGregor" series. This story is so much fun and entertaining. The MacGregor family dynamics are so fun and interesting; antics crack me up. Maura and Curtis are so good for each other. Their story develops very interestingly. This a great paranormal read with demons, ghost and also sorts of magic!
