About this ebook

Enjoy this sweet young adult romance from bestselling author Michelle MacQueen.

He’s the popular hockey star, and she’s the stubborn figure skater ignoring him.

Charlotte Morrison has a secret, one that stays within the confines of the skating rink her parents run.

She loves hockey. It’s not logical for the cold-as-ice skating princess her classmates call a robot.

Especially since the school’s hockey team can’t win a single game.

When the antics of golden boy, Jesse Carrigan, land her in the principal’s office, she realizes she’s been set up.

Because Jesse wants her help and he’s willing to do anything to get it.

Forced to help the team practice skating without falling flat on their faces, Charlotte realizes there’s more to Jesse than charm and good looks.

But if she trades her figure skates for hockey pads, will the coach let her play? He is her dad, after all.

This is a sweet YA read that has layers of emotions, desires, truths and passion. Looking on the outside Jesse life is that of one of a jock and a popular kid: Charlotte is the coach's daughter is an ice princess, but that is so far from the truth. I love the connection and support Jesse gives Charlotte and the tenderness Charlotte shows toward Jesse and his family. This was a well written story that melts your heart and has you cheering at the end.

This story definitely didn’t disappoint. It was emotional, deep, and relatable. Charlotte is training hard to be a figure skater. Her mom is her coach while he dad trains the high school hockey team. I liked the sports aspect of this one since it’s about skating and teamwork. Charlotte is considered the ice princess in high school and doesn’t really have a lot of friends. She had a routine and sticks to it. I’m glad she came out of her shell and made more friends. Plus she stood up to her parents so the character development in this story was great. Jesse is a hockey player but plays for the losing high school team. He’s a really nice guy once you get to know him. He has siblings that he has to take care of and make sure Cassie is okay. I loved the family aspect of this story also. This story shows that you can’t judge a book by its cover and things are not always what they seem. Jesse wanted nothing more than to win a game. Especially since it was his senior year. He will try anything to win a game. Come to find out Charlotte is hiding secrets and secret skills. You should definitely read this story to find out what happens with Charlotte and how Jesse fits in! I can’t wait for the second one!

I really enjoyed reading Charlotte and Jesse's story. It was a lovely young romance that had a little drama and a great storyline of crushes becoming more. I can't wait for more from this new series. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
