Acerca de este libro electrónico

This book describes a wireless channel for system design with diverse mobile communication services, including propagation. It explains mobile propagation channels and analyses multi-path channel properties, the findings of which are validated by example experiments. The book explores such topics as: received signal level with wideband channels, street propagation using the Fresnel zone model, street cell design, space and polarization diversity antenna branch properties and their expressions, analysis models with space-frequency-path axes, SU-MIMO and MU-MIMO channel models, and MU-MIMO in 5G systems. The appendix explains these analysis processes in detail.

Acerca del autor

Shigeru Kozono received his MSc from Niigata University in 1972, and his Doctorate in Engineering from Kyoto University in 1988. In 1972, he joined the NTT Electrical Communication Laboratory, where his research focused on mobile radio propagation in urban areas, tunnels and street cells, space and polarization diversity systems, co-channel interference measurement methods, and system design. In 1993, he became a Professor at the Chiba Institute of Technology (CIT), where his academic interests centered around wireless channel and digital communication systems. He became a member of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in 2000, and worked alongside the European Commission as an independent expert in 2012. In 2000, he was a guest editor of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE).
