Nigel Flaxton (pen name) served in schools in six Education Authorities, three as a Head of new schools. His main hobby was in dog showing, breeding and judging which he undertook with his wife. Together they wrote 'All About The Samoyed' (1998) and he edited and part wrote the 4th and 5th editions of 'The Samoyed' published by the Samoyed Association (1971, 1995). Since retiring he has written variously including an autobiography and a novel based on the revelations of Emanuel Swedenborg, the 18th century Swedish scientist, nobleman, theologian and seer.
