About this eBook

This Christmas he’s confronting the past…

Wyoming rancher Cade Hunt rents a room in Marietta for the month of December for one purpose—to unravel the mysteries of his past. He’s not interested in the local Christmas festivities, even though his pretty landlord Merri Bradley is more appealing than any woman he can remember.

After losing her husband far too early, hospice nurse Merri has dedicated her life to caring for the grief-stricken during their final goodbyes. She loves her busy and fulfilling life and has no time for a brooding cowboy during her favorite time of year. Yet Cade is tempting, and she’s technically his hostess.

But Marietta is full of Christmas magic and miracles. Soon Cade is embraced by the family he didn't know he had—a grandfather and four Wyatt cowboy cousins. For the first time in his life, Cade has a sense of belonging and the desire to set down roots if only he can convince Merri that second chances are the best chance for their own happily ever after.

I truly loved reading Cade and MerriBee’s love story in Montana Cowboy Miracle by Jane Porter, book four in her Wyatt Brothers of Montana series. This sweet Christmas romance focuses on second chances at love and finding family. Cade Hunt managers a large Wyoming ranch, loves his life there, and Dot, the woman who took an angry 16 year old and taught him not only how to ranch, but also to be an outstanding person. Now that it’s Christmas and her less than appreciative family is coming to visit, Dot sends him off on a forced vacation. Cade’s childhood was not a good one and now that he knows that his father was not the mean who raised him. The DNA test he took, hoping to find his half sister, indicated a connection to a Billy Wyatt. In need of information about his father, he headed to Marietta. He never expected was to meet the widow Merri Bradley, a hospice nurse who loves everything Christmas, while Cade tries to avoid it, because of bad memories. After a disastrous first meeting, Cade and MerriBee develop a tenuous friendship, in that when MerriBee has an accident, leaving her in need of care just as the Christmas season starts, Cade is the one she turns to for help. Though their attraction is obvious, their past, fears, and plans for the future will interfere. I totally enjoyed this sweet romance, as well as the angst of trying to figure out love a second time around. I also enjoyed the relationship that Cade had with his boss Dot as well as how he dropped everything to go back home when he found out she was sick again; bring MerriBee with to help. I also loved how author Jane Porter characterized MerriBee as a very giving young woman; proven by the charity work she did, providing Christmas gift baskets for struggling families at Christmas. Ms. Porter, an amazing story teller in her own right, wrote a wonderfully sweet, emotional, inspirational, and heart-warming story that is definitely not to be missed. This story is filled with strong attraction, clever dialogue, and strong characters, not only giving Cade a family, but providing the chance of future with MerriBee. I highly recommend Montana Cowboy Miracle to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Cade Hunt didn’t have the traditional upbringing, but at least he had Dot, the ninety-two-year-old owner of the Sundowner Ranch in Wyoming who was pretty much his only family. His mom passed when he was younger and the man he always thought was his father, in a drunken rage, informed Cade that he was not only not his father, but that his mother birthed a daughter who was thirteen years Cade’s junior. In hopes of finding his sister he sought the aid of a DNA website hoping it may expedite the search. Although that showed unfruitful, it did match him with a William Wyatt of Marietta, Montana. Determined to see if this could possibly be a lead to finding out who his birth father truly was, maybe he’d finally get the family that he’s never had. Merri Bradley, or MerriBee as her friends and patients call her, is a widowed nurse in Marietta. After losing her husband to cancer eleven months after they married, she has devoted herself to helping others during their final days and knew that being a hospice nurse would be the perfect way. Just like she has for the past several years, MerriBee goes all out for Christmas. Not only does she live in a large home that is called the Christmas House with its gingerbread house-looking touches, but she decorates both the outside and inside in full Christmas holiday fashion. The house is much too big for just her, so she has rented out rooms to families whose loved ones are in hospice care. But this year, she got a call regarding a man who needed a room for a little bit. Never having an easy time saying no, she agreed to allowing the man to stay with her. But some unexpected turn of events caused Merri and her tenant, Cade, to part ways … only to find themselves spending even more time than expected. Is MerriBee who Cade needs to open his heart to love and a potential family? And is Cade the antidote that Merri needs to restart her heart that has been dead to love since the death of her husband?

While searching for his sister via DNA test, Cade Hunt finds out he is related to Billy Wyatt. He drives over to Marietta seeking answers. Merri Bradley, a hospice nurse in Marietta and owner of a B&B, finds Cade standing on her doorstep inquiring about a room for the next few days. Little does either of them know, this chance encounter will change both of their lives. This is a fabulous edition to the Wyatt Brother series. Jane has added new dynamic characters and storyline which her readers can escape to. I enjoy how each book introduces new personalities and parts of the town, while still including what/who we already know and love. The Wyatt clan and Marietta are forever in my heart.
