About this eBook

The list of people Dallas Longhorns manager Javi Flores hates is a short one, but sports agent Aerin Stone is right at the top. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t noticed that she’s sexy as hell, and he can’t decide what he hates more: the woman herself, or how much he wants her. Because as much as she drives him crazy, he can’t stop fantasizing about her.

Aerin Stone is tired of being strong. As a successful sports agent at the top of her game, she spends her days fighting for her clients. But she spends her nights nursing her broken heart, trying to put the pieces of her life back together after her divorce. She’s not looking for love, but when cocky, sex-on-a-stick Javier Flores offers her one night of incredible sex after a game of truth or dare, she jumps at the chance. For one night, she lets dominant Javi take over, and she’s shocked to find that letting the sexy, dirty talking single dad boss her around is exactly what she needs.

Even though they both hate how good it feels, one night isn’t enough. Javi wants more. He wants everything…

Aerin is a very successful sports agent who grew up in a bad family situation and her husband of 10 years left her for another woman. Javier/ Javi is a former baseball player and now a manager in Texas and his ex- wife and kids live in California. Because of their careers have disliked each other but get to know each better at a wedding and a game of truth or dare. They begin a relationship but both have issues from the past to deal with. Will Javi be successful in gaining more custody of his daughters and introducing them to Aerin? Will Aerin be able to let go of her past and find happiness with Javi? I loved this story of a couple with troubles in their past who have to decide if they want a future together. The author did a great job of showing their pasts and how that made them become the people that they were now. They had to decide if it was worth the effort to fight for a future together and happiness. The epilogue was a great ending to their story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was another delightful read from, Tara. What I like about her stories is that it doesn't follow the usual formula. I know the formula works, that's why it's a formula. But it's really refreshing to read about characters who are in their 40s, who have struggles that you can relate with, who are not perfect. I read a lot of contemporary romance and they just blur into each other. I forget them as soon as I close the book. Tara's characters stay with me and I actually wonder what happens to them after the story. Another home run. Congratulations. Definitely looking forward to the next series. The teaser in this one was enough to make me want more. ARC generously provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Moon shot is a baseball term of a home run with great height. So, it’s appropriate in Moon Shot that Javi just hooked up with Aerin. The sparks are crazy hot, they both have major issues (his ex wife and kids) and it’s complicated. Even if the nooky is hot and the baggage is clunky. Recommend.
