Пра гэту электронную кнігу

Morrison is 17. Smart, sarcastic, annoying, and very angry.

Mr Moore, a school principal on the verge of retirement, has seen it all. Now coping with a wife who has Alzheimers, his plans for his life in retirement are in tatters. The last thing he needs is someone like Morrison.

What happens when two unlikely people find strength in each other?

This unique story is captivating and surprising, bringing tears and laugh-out-loud moments and brilliant insights into the nature of friendship and the problems of ageing at every age.

A novel of strength, hope, humility, and acceptance… and that kid who wears petticoats…

Звесткі пра аўтара

Michael Hyde taught in working class secondary schools for 25 years, where he established successful writing cultures across a number of schools. He lectured in tertiary institutions, mainly at Victoria University, for 20 years where he taught and co-ordinated Creative Writing, Sports Writing and Children’s Literature. He was awarded the Vice-Chancellors award for Teaching Excellence. He gained his PhD for the thesis ‘The Sixties—the lived experience’ which also produced his memoir, All Along the Watchtower—one of the very few accounts of that period.

Michael has been writing since the mid 1970’s and since then he has published thirty-six books, both fiction and non-fiction. He writes for children (Girls Change the Game) but is mainly known for his Young Adult novels, especially MAX, Tyger Tyger, Hey Joe, Surfing Goliath, and Footy Dreaming.

He has four children and two grandchildren, and lives in the bush with his wife, Gabrielle. He loves writing (of course), the sea, rivers, canoeing, playing hand drums, veggie gardening, beach walking, music, cooking, and is an avid reader. He also loves sport, footy and is a Collingwood tragic.
