I really love this series. I understand the process of plotting a story and I know that most commercial fiction follows the same formula because it tends to work. But it takes a good writer to deviate from the standard to create entertaining stories that defy the norm. I enjoy reading about strong, intelligent female characters who don't spend half the book fretting and indecisive. This series demonstrates how to create conflict without forcing miscommunications and misconceptions on the characters. This author has created internal and external conflict without frustrating the reader. I'm annoyed by weak,female characters who won't ask the right questions and constantly jump to the wrong conclusions. The women in this series are take-charge, fierce and smart. I'm so glad to find female characters I'd want to aspire to instead of choke for their blatant stupidity.

I've become obsessed by this series!
