This book has a simple, direct approach, with the least amount of words possible, and valuable perspectives from having so much more experience (than most of us suburbanites or city dwellers). I ❤ this book and the respectable author!

Goes into thing a lot of survival books don't . Real good on the philosophy of survival. Advanced navigation techniques .

Mykel Hawke is a Green Beret combat veteran and Captain (Ret.) in the U.S. Army Special Forces; Director of Spec Ops Inc (an international outdoor-survival training company); and popular television survival expert from the Discovery Channel's hit shows Man, Woman, Wild and One Man Army.
