Ratings and reviews

The story seems like it could have been really good, but was ruined by a completely garbled writing style. Anyone who says it's written poetically is lying to themselves and are only defending a book they desperately want to remain relevant. Never ever will I waste my time or money on William Gibson. On a separate note, his writing for the X Files was hackneyed at best. He may have poorly expressed an idea or two that were head of their time, but that time has passed.

The story was good, but it was a little disjointed and it bounced around a lot. I think the concept was there, I just wish he would have taken more time to flesh out some of the tech and explain it more thoroughly. I spent more time trying to figure that out when reading than anything. Overall a good read, and I feel like it tied together again at the end without too many holes.

I'm not gonna play the sheep game. All the lingo in this book will make you lost in the sauce. It tries to go into detail about things that are made up or just may just go way over your head. I really wanted to like this book, but for me, it just wasn't fun to read.
