Ratings and reviews

Nick Gullo has written a well researched, interesting and funny book about MMA and the UFC. While it is biased favorably to the UFC, this isn't Investigative Journalism so that is to be expected. Well versed and knowledgeable, Nick takes us on a fun ride through the history of fighting in correlation to MMA. My favorite parts, though, are when he would write or recall first person anecdotes. I wish he would have included more personalization like that. It helped it feel less encyclopedic. Good stuff.

Nick Gullo was born in New Orleans and raised in Las Vegas. He received a law degree and an MBA from Tulane University. An accomplished photographer and writer, his work has appeared in Vice and UFC Magazine—among others. When not surfing and training jiu-jitsu in Newport Beach, Gullo follows the UFC around the world.
