Tentang eBook ini

Laboratory standard (LS) microphones are very stable capacitor microphones that are calibrated by primary methods and not used as artifact reference standards to calibrate other LS microphones, measurement microphones, sound calibrators, and other acoustical instruments. Each type of LS microphone has standardized electroacoustical properties and dimensions, with a circular diaphragm. To achieve an acceptable degree of accuracy at high frequencies in some standardized methods for primary calibration of LS microphones, the front cavity depth of each microphone must be known. This dimension must be measured using non-contact methods to prevent damage to the microphone diaphragm. This article discusses such methods. Illustrations.
