Nursing History Review, an annual peer-reviewed publication of the American Association for the History of Nursing, is a showcase for the most significant current research on nursing history. Regular sections include scholarly articles as well as reviews of the latest media and publications on nursing and healthcare history. Historians, researchers, and individuals fascinated with the rich field of nursing will find Nursing History Review an important resource.

The 30th volume of the review features a new section, "Hidden in Plain Sight," dedicated to highlighting nurses from underrepresented groups, as well as a special "Past as Prologue" section that focuses on the 1918 influenza pandemic and COVID-19.
