Montana storyteller and artist Heyoka Merrifield has embraced the shamanic traditions of his Native American ancestry as a sundancer and medicine man for over thirty years. He spends much of his life in nature and with a close relationship with the animal powers. Heyoka was inspired to write this story after swimming with both dolphins and whales feeling a mutual delight and communion in their contact. He lives in a Montana mountain valley and has also authored Sacred Art Sacred Earth and The White Buffalo Woman Trilogy. You may visit his website at www.heyoka-art.com.
