About the author

Dr. P. Venkataraman is a retired academic with 35 years of undergraduate and graduate teaching. Prior to his academic work he was employed at Hindustan Aeronautics. He did is B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering from I. I. T. Kanpur in 1974. Hie obtained his PhD from Rice University in 1984. Dr. Venkataraman's research and professional interests included applied optimization, direct and inverse boundary value problem, trajectory shaping in nonlinear dynamic systems, airfoil design, analytical solution for boundary value problems, functional data analysis, and data clustering. All of his research above incorporates the use of Bezier functions to solve mathematical problems. He uses the same curves to create elements of creative design.
