About this ebook

Our marriage is fake. But our feelings are dangerously real…

Marrying playboy billionaire Darren Walker was only ever supposed to be a business deal.

If only it were that easy.

I’m finding it far too comfortable living in Darren’s world, and I never predicted I’d find real meaning in the charity I’m involved with while I pretend to be the perfect wife.

The worst thing is, I’m scared Darren’s feelings for me are becoming real, too.

But a woman with a past like mine doesn’t belong in a world like his. Especially because I thought my heart belonged to someone else before we were married. Someone much too close to him.

When Darren decides to leave his playboy ways behind and follow in his father’s footsteps, I must face reality. A marriage like ours won’t last forever.

Not when my former life has the power to come back to haunt me. There’s no way Darren’s reputation will survive the scandal of being married to a former escort.

And if I let myself get any deeper, neither will my heart…

Queen of Ruin is the second book in The Kingmaker trilogy, a steamy marriage of convenience romance full of political scandal. The books must be read in order for the best reader experience. This book does end in a cliffhanger.

As stated in my previous review for book 1, King Of Nothing. My rating will be a little down because I don't know what the story will end like. So, at the end, I will come back and add an edit as to what my full opinion is of this trilogy as a whole. This book started as the previous one left off. There was no pause, no breather. It just went straight into the fun and games that were being played. Although Darren and Evangeline were a convenience at the start, you see throughout this book a bond that almost happens instantly. The chemistry is fire, and the angst grows but becomes less if that makes any sense. Again, I have to remain tight-lipped, but I think that's a given. Its gripping, has great banter, and the characters have grown on me and rhats all of them, eventhw nasty ones. There is a secret to be revealed in this book, and I'm hoping it's what I think it is. The story is gripping, and I'm dying for the finale. This book is a huge recommend from me, and I know this trilogy

When the second book leaves you NEEDING the third ......Yes this one is just as good as the first and I personally NEED, not just want to get my hands on the next and last book in this trilogy. Evangeline and Darren's relationship grows so much more depth and understanding of one another, but with that all their secrets must come to the surface. Sometimes when those secrets that we hold come out they can destroy everything. Is their attraction and maybe, can I say it....love for one another be s

Many of the things I feel would get me in trouble with the algorithym police. Ducking Stupendous. Staggered. Darren and Evangelista move forward together in this installment of the Kingmaker trilogy (book 2), and change hits both of them. Hard. The story picks up at the devastating end of book 1 and you are waltzed thru the high society of D.C. that Eva faces, while Darren prepares to finally do some adulting! I love how we see the evolution between them and the spice (always delicious!) and Eva
