"What an incredibly beautiful, sexy, swoony, smart and funny story about family, friends and love!” - TJ Loves to Read Romance Book Blog

“HOT, STEAMY AND SEXY!” - Feeding My Addiction Book Reviews

There are three things you should know about Quinn Sullivan: 1) He is madly in love with Janie Morris, 2) He’s not above playing dirty to get what (or who) he wants, and 3) He doesn’t know how to knit.

After just five months of dating Janie, Quinn—former Wendell and unapologetic autocrat—is ready to propose marriage. In fact, he’s more than ready. If it were up to Quinn, he would efficiently propose, marry, and beget Janie with child all in the same day—thereby avoiding the drama and angst that accompanies the four stages of pre-matrimony: engagement, meeting the parents, bachelor/bachelorette party, and overblown, superfluous wedding day traditions.

But Janie, much to Quinn’s dismay, tosses a wrench in his efficacious endeavors and challenges him to prove his devotion by going through the matrimonial motions, no matter how minute and mundane.

Will Quinn last until the wedding day? Or will he yield to his tyrant impulses?

This book is not a standalone. It is the sequel to ‘Neanderthal Seeks Human,’ and is book #1.5 in the Knitting in the City series.

2.5 stars. I wish I could have enjoyed this book as much as the first one, but I did not. Not even Quinn made this better for me or the ladies, and they usually make everything better or at least provide comical relief. It dragged on for me and I basically skimmed through the entire book, which hurts me to admit. I think what made it unbearable was Janies attitude throughout the entire book, she was extremely annoying and so obnoxious that I honestly could not get past her attitude. I did not have a very high opinion of her in the first book but i still found her endearing and the love that she had for Quinn made her more likable. But i just could not stand her in this particular book. it pains me to write this because I have so much love for Penny Reid. Lets talk about the Wedding The way that Janie handled the engagement, and the fact that she demanded and made this huge deal about getting this grand wedding of Quinn in order to get married to him. Also the games she played and the whole proving his love to her was so not cool. if you love a person and want to marry them it should be about them and the love they have. I did not really enjoyed this book, but I think that its still essential to the series and should be read.

Though not as engaging as the first one, it is still a great follow-up for fans of Janie and Quinn. I didn't plough through this book like I did with Neanderthal Seeks Human, but I still found myself giggling away at the craziness which happened throughout the book.
