About this ebook

New York Times Bestseller, Pepper Winters, delivers another delicious Dark Romance.

"I'm not the hero in this story, girl. You'd do best to remember that."

Once upon a time, I was an eighteen year old psychology student.

Now, I’m a man’s property.

Stolen and sold, I’ve been decorated in bruises since the day my world changed two years ago.

I suffer in silence, I crave freedom, but I never break.

I can’t.

Until he arrives.

Elder Prest, the only man to look at me and see me. The only man more ruthless than my owner.

He wants me for reasons I don’t understand.

He claims me for one night then leaves and never looks back.

Until he returns.

And life becomes much more complicated.

!MIND-BLOWING! Pure Brilliant Darkness!! Pepper Winters has done it again! She continues to amaze me, and when I thought she couldn't go any more darker, she brings something that is so graphically dark, intense, tortured, violent and heartbreaking at times, that I just don’t know if I should love it or hate it because I was left me wanting more. Tasmin was taken when she was 18 years old and sold to a masochistic, who has been abusing her for two years. What I love about her character is that she's very determined, but has surrendered her will by conditioning herself in order to survived this monster's abuse. Elder is not only a thief, but also a dark and dangerous killer. However, he is the first person that has shown Tasmin a little compassion. I was drawn into the story with the emotional and psychological connection every single one of Pepper's characters evoke. I was part of their journey and felt everything they were freaking feeling. OMG! It took me a while to put myself together. The twist and turns, the ability to create such an amazing darkness and leave the readers crying for more. OMG!! How can one become so addicted to such darkness? Overall, this book it's bloody-fantastic and I love it!! Just remember, this is my personal opinion, and this is what I like!!

A deep & dark swirling cesspool of secrets, intrigue & depravity. There is some seriously dark subject matter here. So unless you really love a good dark romance, this read may not be for you. If you loved Pepper Winters' Indebted series, please proceed! Not all the horrors are described in detail, but there is still enough to make it a little shocking and uncomfortable. There isn't anything in here that pushed me past my own comfort zone. I have certainly read far more graphic scenes before. There won't be any swooning in this book. Just a lot of raw and twisted emotions. I have a feeling it's going to be a steep, uphill climb to the happy place with this series! I can't wait to see what happens next!!!

As difficult as it was to continue reading after the initial shock of the subject matter, morbid curiosity won out and I couldn't put this one down until I'd finished the book. Very compelling story. Thanks to the author for the warning.
