About the author

Phillip D. Rumrill, PhD, CRC has a PhD in Rehabilitation and Director of the Center for Disability Studies at Kent State University. Dr. Rumrill has received numerous awards, including the 2005 Rehabilitation Researcher of the Year Award from the National Council on Rehabilitation Education.

Kimberly Wickert, CRC has a Master's Degree in rehabilitation counseling from Wright State University and has worked with individuals in the field of rehabilitation for more than 20 years.

Danielle Dresden, CRC has a Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling from Kent State University and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor who has been working with people with disabilities and their families for 14 years.
