About this ebook

A Barkeep and a Bumblebee...

A stranger steps in to rescue Dottie from both.

Before she even knows who he is, however, she's already called him Lucifer, and threatened to have him

tarred, feathered and run out of town by the new minister upon his arrival.

Not only that. She's balled up her fist and punched him straight in the eye.

"You, sir, are no gentleman," she quips, marching away.

Hoping she'll never have to see him again isn't TOO much to ask...

Or is it?

About the author

Pippa Greathouse has been publishing for several years, and is the author of well over twenty books written under this name. There are several genres, some historical fiction, some have a touch of paranormal in them and most include romantic mystery and suspense. And several are written with Ruby Caine. (Check out their newest, Rough and Noble (Rough Edges, book 3).She has a new one, a contemporary mystery coming out in a few weeks, too! Don't miss the Pikes Bluff series! It's contemporary but well worth the read!

But did you know she also writes as Tessa Carr and has around ten books under that name? These are Romantic Suspense with mystery and Thriller! Her newest from Tessa is "Screams in the Night" (Shadows of Council Creek, book 3).

According to Pippa...

It all began with an assignment from my beautiful and elegantly coiffured fifth grade teacher, Mrs. J, who had our class write a short story and then to read it aloud.

So, I did. The story began with a group of my friends and classmates, who went on a fictitious camping trip.

Enter a grizzly bear. As it attacked the camp and body parts began flying, I looked up.

Poor Mrs. J. A twitch had appeared somewhere around her left eye, and she looked horrified. But she kept quiet and let me finish.

By the time the story ended, she was white as a sheet.

I admit, I learned to control the gore in my stories somewhat after that. But at the time, my friends all thought it was cool, so the stories kept coming, morphing into space and spy stories and eventually, (yes) Romances! And lately, Romantic suspense with Mystery and thrillers. Most of those can be found under the name Tessa Carr.

I so hope you enjoy them!

Hey, I am Ruby Caine. I enjoy writing stories about alpha males, sassy women and the fun that happens when the two collide. All of my books take place in Louisiana, where I live with my family. I have one stand alone book called Making the Wright Connections, about a sexy cop and a hot mess heroine. My Katrina's Aftermath series follows the stories of couples from the New Orleans region. The Spirits of River Oaks series takes place in my own hometown of St. Charles parish and deals with the paranormal. Louisiana Loving follows the Deaux family. I would love to hear from you.

I also write as Abby Aaron.
