I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. AI was so glad to see that Seth Cage was given his own story. He is from the Dirty Money series where he is Shane Brandon's right hand man. He is former CIA where he originally met Amanda, three years ago when they were assigned to the same case. Something happened back then that set them on different paths. Neither has seen each other since then until now when Seth is contacted by a former coworker asking for his help. There is a lot of mystery surrounding what happened three years ago and why Seth is now being asked to find and bring Amanda back to help with a current case the CIA needs help with. Amanda went into hiding when she left three years ago. She like Seth only know parts of what happened back then. Why the assignment seems to have gone wrong, etc. There is still a lot of pent up feeling between the two, a lot of chemistry and misplaced trust caused by all of it. Now the two are doubting what they had back then and if they can believe what the other says. This boos if full of intrigue, action, adventure, mystery and unspoken feelings that still linger between Seth and Amanda. Can they get past the sense of betrayal they each have for one another? And figure out a way to solve this new case and get back once they once had? I can not wait to see what happens next!

Emotionally thrilling, smoking hot sexy, action packed second chance romantic adventure filled with passion, danger, intrigue and betrayal. This is a quick read with a cliff at the end, but it is there for a reason since this is only part one of three. Amanda Skye is sweet, proper, smart and known as the Scientist. She is a CIA operative that was raised to be one and on the run after the man she fell in love with betrayed her. (or so she believes) Seth Cage is sexy, strong, smart and known as The Fixer for The Brandon Family Empire. It has been three years since the only woman he ever loved betrayed him and now he is assigned to retrieve her. Loved this highly entertaining adventure and look forward to part 2.

Oh my goodness! I knew there was something about Seth I liked and this confirms it. Seth works with Shane as a Fixer but before that he was with the CIA and known as The Assassin and as high up as he was they would never let him go. That is apparent when in the first few pages they seek him out with an assignment. He is being sent to kill his former partner, the only woman he has ever loved, Amanda Skye. Her specialty is poison and they need her to make an antidote and then she is to be eliminated. What will Seth do? If you have a problem with cliffhangers, you may want to hold on to this one until you get all three to read at one time. Lucky for me I have all three to read and review. YAY for me! I highly recommend this one and you do not need to read the Dirty Deeds series first as this stands on its own. **Received this ARC for review from the publisher via NetGalley**
