About this ebook

From USA Today bestselling author Willow Winters comes an emotionally gripping, standalone, contemporary romance.

It was never love with Daniel and I never thought it would be.

It was only lust from a distance.

Unrequited love maybe.

He’s a man I could never have, for so many reasons.

That didn’t stop my heart from beating wildly when his eyes pierced through me.

It only slowed back down when he’d look away, making me feel so damn unworthy and reminding me that he would never be mine.

Years have passed and one look at him brings it all back.

But time changes everything.

There’s a heat in his eyes I recognize from so long ago, a tension between us I thought was one-sided.

“Tell me you want it.” His rough voice cuts through the night and I can’t resist.

That’s where my story really begins.

POSSESSIVE - IS THOUGHT-PROVOKING & BURNS WITH PASSION. Inside; family drama, suspense, danger, a life-threatening incident, secrets, incidents that tug at your heart, jealousy, betrayal, and sizzling intense romance. Addison and Daniel both have guilt feelings of a horrific past that haunts them. They met when Addison was a teen while she was the girlfriend of his youngest brother. Daniel had desired her then but she was not his, he kept his feelings hidden; his attitude toward her was aloof and at times he was curt. Addison also harbored feelings for Daniel. Now years later after not seeing each other, they meet by chance at a bar. Their happy ending comes but not before the secrets of the past come out. RELISHED every moment of this engrossing read. The reality of this story pulled my heartstrings as I teared up. To me the author has done a fabulous job weaving the character's lives in this story; they are engaging, and vivid scene descriptions are captivating. The backstories help the reader in visualizing what makes up their personas. I truly loved Daniel; he is possessive, protective and also has redeeming qualities; his love for Addison shines in this story. Addison's love for Daniel is strong. The story is also about forgiveness, understanding circumstances beyond your control and unconditional love. Finding this to be a gratifying read; {Of my own volition without any stipulations I reviewed an advanced reader copy.} Without, reservations I recommend this read.

If I ever need to read Dark Romance novels, Willow Winters is my go to author. She is so good at making you feel all the feels. You may break a few times when you read her books, but at the end you manage to piece your emotions back. Possessive is another favorite added by Willow. I felt so heart broken for Addison when she is introduced to us. I truly felt her sadness and self torment through the pages. Daniel I was at first leery about. I couldn't determine his roll with Addi and Tyler's past. As the story went on, I fell for Daniel more. His pain and guilt eating him alive had me in tears. When he reunites with Addison, I finally feel that there is hope. When the truth comes out of Daniel's past, betrayal comes through and Addison feels broken all over again, but 10 times worst. I was not sure these two had enough strength to make it. But that is what Willow does. She sheds the layers within her characters until you just see through them. Yes their pain and torment may lead them where they are at, but their inner strength always will free them. The love Daniel and Addison have is a once in a life time love. They are each others halves. Possessive has the drama and angst. The heat level with the sexy scenes is intense! You will be shivering at the end. I am truly hooked on this book and will definitely dive into Carter's story next. Watch out world, the Cross brothers are ready to take over!

A forbidden desire, love, and longing. What would you do if the one you wanted was already claimed by another? What would you if the man you really belonged to was off limits? Two souls that were destined to be together but couldn't until one beautiful soul was lost. Addison has finally moved on from the lose of Tyler. The man that loved her unconditionally and gave her everything she could ask for, except that her heart belonged too someone else. The death of Tyler was too much and she had to get away, leaving behind the one man she really wanted. Blaming herself for Tyler's death, Addison took a long time to get to a place where she finally felt somewhat whole again. That is until she runs into Daniel. The strength and confidence she felt quickly vanished and the guilt and sadness took its place. Addison was more angered that Daniel did not acknowledge her. Angered by this she's set her eyes on getting him to notice her and finally release what she's had building up inside her all these years. Daniel couldn't believe his eyes. Addison? Of all the places he would run into her, he never thought it would be that night. Addison has haunted his dreams, his thoughts, his heart. She has always been his and now it is time to make it happen. So when he walks into the bar again it is no coincidence she is sitting there. It is no coincidence he sits next to her. It is no coincidence he acknowledges her. It is no coincidence it's the night that he claims her. Addison is overwhelmed by Daniel, but that is nothing new. He has this power over her and now there is no one to stop them. Finally together, it's not the fear of what it can be, but their past that haunts their future. Can two soulmates finally find their forever? Will the past jeopardize their happily ever after? I loved Daniel and Addison. The pain, weakness, fear, longing, need, lust, desire that they both had for one another poured off of the pages and consumed me. Willow Winters ability to make them so real captured me and held me a prisoner in their story. I found myself praying that the things they did was for the better good and in the end their pain and struggles would be worth it because they would finally find one another. Daniel and Addison have imprinted themselves in my soul and will be with for forever.

She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!
