Book 2 in LLV's Baseball series, featuring Furious George (I always wondered why he was so furious, and now I know!) The Longview Lumberjacks is a professional baseball team, and they are all kinds of messed up. Amazing at baseball, not so much with relationships! George has a temper, as his nick name suggests. But underneath of that, he is a big old teddy bear. This book shows his softer side, and how amazing he is with Wrigley. He is determined, knows what he wants, and will do whatever it takes to get it (even if what he thinks it takes is sometimes the wrong thing!) Wrigley is funny! But she also seems to be confused at times. She doesn't seem to know what she wants, or changes her mind, or regrets her words or actions after they are said or done. But her feelings for George are pure and true. She just doesn't seem to know what she wants or how to get it. It seems, right from the beginning, that things were stacked against George and Wrigley. They would work through one thing, and something else crazy would happen. I just wasn't sure at times, if they would make it through to the other side. This book was so full of every different emotion. I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more. There was one time, I laughed so hard, I started crying! I loved George and Wrigley, and at times their story made my heart hurt. Their journey to love was full of obstacles that neither could have seen coming. But through it all, I couldn't help but hope that their love would win in the end. (and his grandmother! Well, you will just have to read it to know, but she was fantastic!)
