Jilted at the altar, Leo is desperate to find a bride before his thirtieth birthday. When a house full of spinsters refuse him, he proposes to their maid, Holly. Little does he know that she witnessed her father's murder and is on the run from his killer. Do they have any chance of finding a happily ever after? This novella is a delight. Leo and Holly are fun and likeable, and so cute together. The book is entertaining from start to finish. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC I received.

A charming piece. The author may have called Leo a rogue but I found the character to be a thoughtful and lovely gentleman. I mean really what he suffered at the hands of his cousin was bad he’s other cousin was a royal villain. Holly was a delight but you knew trouble was coming when an old enemy came back into her life. The ending was perfect who would have thought a group of carolers would save the day. This is a wonderful book to spend time with I highly recommend it.

About the author

Born in Texas, Bianca Blythe spent four years in England. She worked in a fifteenth-century castle, though sadly that didn't actually involve spotting dukes and earls strutting about in Hessians.

She credits British weather for forcing her into a library, where she discovered her first Julia Quinn novel. She remains deeply grateful for blustery downpours.

After meeting her husband in another library, she moved with him to sunny California, though on occasion she still dreams of the English seaside, scones with clotted cream, and sheep-filled pastures. For now, she visits them in her books.
