About this eBook

After a night out ends in tragedy, lingerie designer Lily Matthews is the sole witness to a murder. The only problem? She can’t remember what she saw. But the killer’s taking no chances, and he’s determined to help her forget for good.

When bodyguard Max Tian agrees to do a favour for a friend, it’s supposed to be a simple babysitting assignment. But as the bodycount increases, he finds he’s in danger of not only losing his principal but his heart as well.

Roses are Dead is a standalone romantic suspense novel in the Blackwood UK series - no cliffhanger!

Elise Noble is the Queen of Romantic Suspense!!! Roses are Dead is one more reason why Elise is the Queen of Romantic Suspense! Lily and Max are an unlikely pairing, yet they are perfect for each other… they just need to figure that out for themselves. When Lily wakes up in the hospital with no memory of what happened to her, she discovers the worst news ever… that her sister is dead and she was most likely a witness, but she can’t remember anything. Lily needs protection, but can’t afford Blackwood Security’s exorbitant prices to protect her, so her best friend Suki calls in a favor and Max moves in! Roses are Dead is a romantic suspense novel in the Blackwood UK series but it can be read as a standalone novel. I highly recommend reading all the books in the series, in order, for maximum enjoyment, but each book really can be read as a stand-alone. Also, Roses are Dead weaves in a few of the Blackwood Security Series characters, like Emmy & Nye, so reading that series before or after Roses are Dead is also highly recommended! :) PS. Of course, I want a Suki & Jason book next! If I could, I’d give this book 10 Stars!!! NOTE TO READERS: Roses are Dead is Book 2 in the Blackwood UK Series, which is NOT part of the Blackwood Security Series; however, some characters (like Emmy & Nye) do make an appearance! YAY! Also, as this is Book 2 in the Blackwood UK series, there are British words (for example: jumper instead of sweater) and British spellings in this book (like favourite), of course! I personally think, as a US reader, that this makes this book and series, delightful! :)

This has to be the best book I've read in a while. Elise Noble never let's me down with her writing skills. I had to read the entire thing at once because, I couldn't put it down.
