About the author

Michael Strahan was born on November 21, 1971 in Houston, Texas. He is from a military family that lived on military bases in Europe. He attended Westbury High School his senior year and received a football scholarship to Texas Southern University. Professionally Michael was a defensive end, playing his entire career for the New York Giants (1993-2007). His team won the 2008 Super Bowl, which was his last game. On February 1, 2014 he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Strahan then became a popular media personality. His work includes football analyst for Fox NFL Sunday, co-hosts, with Kelly Ripa, Live! with Kelly & Michael, and he is a regular contributor on ABC Good Morning America. Michael's book Wake Up Happy: The Dream Big, Win Big Guide to Transforming Your Life was published in 2015.
