Vaughn Wilde’s one objective - driving Lark back to DC to face charges for identity theft would be a lot easier if he could forget the three lust-filled weeks he shared with her before she disappeared in this riveting romantic suspense. Lark has stayed hidden by stealing new names and the reader can’t help but get caught up in the story as not only Vaughn catches up with her but so does her past. The reader can’t help but enjoy the fireworks that result when Vaughn finally catches up to Lark as their sizzling chemistry re-ignites but so does some fiery tempers and heated clashes as this relationship explodes. The characters are strong, captivating and demand the reader’s attention while the fast paced, smooth flowing plot thrills readers with lots of suspense, excitement and romance. Spine tingling tension builds as the reader remains riveted to Lark and Vaughn’s journey and awaiting the outcome of this fiery romance while adrenaline pumping excitement builds as Lark’s past catches up with her and turns their drive into a deadly game of chase. With unexpected twists adding spice and danger to the story, there is never a dull moment as the intriguing events draw the reader in and the well written scenes and details make it easy for the reader to become caught up in Lark and Vaughn’s story. My heart has been captured by another Wilde brother as Vaughn and Lark kept me on the edge of my seat with their tempestuous adventure and relationship and I have to say that after that bombshell of a conclusion I am even more intrigued by Greer’s story and I really wish his book would hurry up and get here.

This book is so, so good. I wish I had known about this series before, but I will definitely being going back to catch up on all the books I have missed. This book starts off with Vaughn in the hospital, hell bent on finding Lark, who has stolen something that is very precious to him. It is immediately apparant that these two have a history (which may have been revealed in the other books that I haven't read yet). Once Vaughn is healed he sets out to find the elusive woman that stole not only property from him, but his heart as well. Lark is on the run from her past. No one knows who she truly is and she can't let anyone ever find out or else she is a dead woman. Running has recently become harder after he last stop. Not only did she make some really good friends but she went and fell in love as well. That is how she knew it was time to move on, she promised never to let herself get too attached to anyone ever again. With the help of his brother and a few close friends Vaughn is able to track lark down. However, things aren't exactly as they appear and once he finds out who Lark really is there is nothing he won't do to protect the woman he loves and bring her back home where she belongs.
