About this eBook

In the football world, quarterback Christopher Montgomery is known for his cool-headedness, his determination, and his steely self-control. He’s about to meet his match.

***

I would do anything to help out my mother, including taking in a stranger for the summer.

I’ve never met Grace Lee, but Mom tells me she’s a quiet and artsy college student with a troubled past. When I agreed to let her stay with me, I expected to share my apartment with a sullen girl who’d spend hours locked in her room.

As the quarterback leading my team to victory, I’m known for keeping a level head under pressure. I didn’t anticipate a walking fantasy determined to make me lose my cool.

I didn’t expect a woman with secrets so dark, so deep, I’d throw away everything if it would save her from the past.

Rushing in to do this favor is turning my life upside down. Keep her out of trouble? Grace is the trouble. And I want in.

RUSHING IN is a standalone novel and the second in The Blackhawk Boys series.

Football. Secrets. Lies. Passion. These boys don’t play fair. Which Blackhawk Boy will steal your heart?

Lexi Ryan continues The Blackhawk Boys Series with another amazing and emotionally compelling story, RUSHING IN. Quarterback, Chris Montgomery agrees to let his new step sister Grace Lee live with him over the summer and to keep her out of trouble. What he didn’t expect was the undeniable chemistry between them. This contemporary sports romance takes place in Blackhawk Valley, Indiana, and in Champagne, Texas. It is suitable for new adult audiences. I loved this story! The characters are extremely well-developed and show tremendous growth throughout this story. Chris is a great guy. He was raised by his single mother, Becky Dupree. He is a really good son who appreciates everything she did for him. He understandably has issues with his father who wanted nothing to do with him. He does what he believes is right and will stand up for those that need help. Becky Dupree is an amazing woman. She was a terrific mother for Dash and is the perfect step-mother for Grace. I love that she believes in Grace. Grace is a likeable character. She was bullied as a kid for having a stutter. She wanted to fit in and made mistakes in her youth who are still haunting her. She had to deal with some awful people. My heart went out to her and the things she endured. I can understand why she had a crush on Chris. I would have too. I love the internship she gets over the summer. I Was glad that Grace had Willow for support in Champagne. I love that Mia and Bailey from book one, SPINNING OUT, befriend Grace in Blackhawk Valley. She deserves to have good girl friends. The plot was believable and expressive. The characters had a lot of obstacles to overcome. There are so many things that happen in this story. Lexi Ryan is truly a gifted author. RUSHING IN had me mesmerized from start to finish. I cannot wait for Sebastian’s story, Going Under, expected to be released December 6, 2016. Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

“I swear if I have to go much longer without touching you, I’m going to implode.” I love pretty much anything this author writes, and writing back in the New Adult genre with this series has been such a treat. “I’m not uncomfortable. I’m thirsty. For Chris.” Grace is back in her hometown for her father’s wedding. The town holds painful memories for her, so she wants to spend as little time there as possible – which is why she’s agreed to live with her new stepbrother for the summer, while their parents are away for their honeymoon. When she meets him, she never expects him to be her teenage crush, who also unwittingly crushed her heart. “You ever meet a girl who gets under your skin so much you can’t see straight?” Chris is an all-round nice guy. Always does the right thing and lives his life on the straight and narrow, rarely spontaneous. Except when he makes out with a complete stranger on a friend’s couch. He never expected her to turn out to be his imminent, new stepsister. Being step-siblings is not the big issue in this story. Grace’s past and Chris’ own hang-ups after being in a relationship that burnt him are what throws obstacles in their way. Grace’s pain is real. Chris’ goodness is swoonworthy. The sexual tension between them is palpable. I adored this book. It was angsty, sexy, unputdownable! It had great pace and a fab plot. Thoroughly recommend!

Grace is stuck spending the summer with her soon to be step-brother whom she has yet to meet. Chris Montgomery a/k/a Dash promised his mom he’d keep an eye on her and keep her out of trouble. Unbeknownst to Grace, she knows her soon to be step brother. Chris was her crush; he was her hero in a bad time in her life that causes her and her father to move away. Chris Montgomery is the real deal, a true gentleman, a nice guy. That is something Grace has a hard time with. She has only seen the bad in guys and she equates all football players to the bad guys. Lucky for Grace, Chris doesn’t remember her from her short time that spent at the same high school. But this also causes turmoil within Grace. The chemistry between these two is immediate, but can they get past that they are now related and can they overcome the past that still haunts Grace… There are so many feels with this book and you won’t want to put it down. I cried for Grace, for both her youth and her current predicament… sad and happy tears. I absolutely loved Rushing In and Chris and Grace… what an amazing story! <3<3<3
