गंगीला पदर येऊन ती मकरात बसली तेव्हापासून या खडकलाटेचे डोळे तिच्याकडं लागून आहेत. तिच्या रूपाची पडलेली भूल अजून तशीच आहे; कारण गंगीचं अंग चांगलं उफाड्याचं आहे आणि थोरवड अंगाच्या ह्या गंगीचं कातडंही हळदीगत गोरंपान आहे. तिच्या नाकाचा शेंडा जरासा खुडल्यागत दिसतो; पण तेच नाक तिला शोभून दिसतं असं तिथल्या तरुण पोरांचं मत आहे. तिच्या गोर्या गालावर डाव्या बाजूला एक हिरवा तीळ आहे, तो तिला पाहणार्याच्या मनावर ठसल्याशिवाय राहत नाही. तिच्यासारखा वाकडा भांग गावातल्या दुसर्या कुठल्या पोरीनं अजून काढला नाही, अनेक कुभांडं त्या गावानं तिच्यावर रचली आहेत. तिच्यासारखे कानावर फुगे पाडणारी पोर त्या गावात निपजायला अजून किमान दहा वर्षतरी जावी लागतील!
