Hailing from a remote village named Perichampakkam, in Cuddalore district, the author, S.Kalaivanan, belongs to an agriculture family.
After graduating in Chemistry from the Government Arts college, Villupuram, he started his career in Heavy water plant, (Department of Atomic energy) Tuticorin and is still working there, building a reputation of a straightforward and honest person with an unblemished career spanning 36 years.
Ever penchant for knowledge, he completed his Master’s in Environmental Science in Manomaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli.
Kalaivanan is very interested in Tamil culture and the way of life of ancient Tamil people and has read a multitude of Tamil literature books especially Thirukkural and Naladiyar.
In the Thirukkural, Thiruvalluvar covered all the areas of society and how to lead a life for every individual—son, father, mother, wife, husband, friend, servant, soldier, minister and king. He also touched environmental topics such as biodiversity, atmosphere, water, soil, river ocean etc.
The author is someone who strongly believes that everyone deserves an equal share of resources. He has a tendency of helping people without advertising, and was inspired by Thirukkural and wrote this book about the present environmental issues and presents solutions based on it.
Being a lover of Mathematics, in this book he made his own calculations for predicting natural process.
