Fascinating accounts of medical miracles and mysteries. His writing style is informal and easy to read on the metro or bus. I liked his ideas on therapeutic hypothermia, new developments in CPR, suspended animation, and his treatment of the questions about the "line between life and death" and how to extend it. But it is written for the general public and if you are expecting a lot of science and technical stuff, you wont find it here. A good read, overall.
