My name is Sarah Khan and I live in New York with my mom and dad. I have a very busy schedule but I love to find time to play the forward on my soccer team, also to master “Solfeggio in C minor” on my piano, and to perfect the “round house kick” in my Tae Kwando class. During my summer vacations I especially love to travel to exotic lands with my parents. Since the age of three, my favorite time has always been bedtime when I get to “travel” to different parts of Kenya through my mother’s most magical and interactive stories about the massive African jungle and the magnificent big five (elephant, rhino, hippo, lion, and leopard) which would come to life.... My memories and imaginations of Kenya are alive as flashbacks of a land with lush, green, sun-drenched landscapes and exotic wild animals playing hide-and-seek while they sunbathe and roll in the mud. I feel that perhaps some angels felt my desire too and helped plan the trip of a lifetime for me to visit Nairobi in the summer of 2019 after I had just finished third grade. It was being on the trip and seeing it all in real life that inspired me to write it all up as a memoir and share it with the world. Happy Reading Sarah
