About this ebook

"Always surprises and always entertains." - Jonathan Maberry, Patient Zero

AFTER: MILEPOST 291
Book 3 in the After post-apocalyptic thriller series

When massive solar flares wipe out the technological infrastructure and kills billions, Rachel Wheeler sets out across the Appalachian Mountain wilderness in search of her notorious grandfather’s survival compound.

When Rachel is separated from her traveling companions, she is captured by Zapheads, violent mutants who are gathering in packs and collecting dead bodies while mimicking human behaviors. Then Rachel undergoes startling changes herself, as her friends are hunted by a rogue military platoon that wants to impose its own law and order in the world of After.

Can Rachel and her fellow survivors make the dangerous journey to Milepost 291 and evade the Zapheads long enough to form a new society and preserve the human race?

This series seems to get worse with each book. The first was an interesting take on the genre, but by the third, the writing seems amateurish. The plot and character decisions have become nonsensical. Every character is a generic stereotype. The immigrant character laments about the US not being his home literally minutes after watching a child get killed. All soldiers are either wanna be dictators or simpletons with guns. Everyone the main cast runs into is a racist or rapist. Disappointing because the series started with promise, but it reads like the author just dipped into a generic character generator to create the story.

A good read.. I love zombie apocalypse books, tho this one is a different TYPE of zombies, it 2as fun to read. If you ONLY prefer the scary mindless hordes of EATING ZOMBIES, This book isn't for you. These are zapped humans, that are turned into animal type kinda goofy who follow a leader of the pack mode
