Shatton A. Claybrooks is the author of the astronomically successful romance novel, "Letting Go!" As an inspiring writer since the age of 12, she always dreamt of becoming an actress, news broadcaster, screenplay writer, or an accomplished author. In February 2012, she FINALLY lived one of her many dreams with the release of "Letting Go!" The storyline and "love" of the two main characters, Lyric & Maurice, had avid readers comparing this one of a kind romance novel to several box hit movies such as, "Brown Sugar, Love Jones, and 35 &Ticking." By profession, Shatton A. Claybrooks is an Education Specialist of 18 years, serving school districts in Michigan. As a proud Detroiter, she hopes this novel, which is based out of Detroit, will positively represent her hometown city.
