Shantabai is well known as a poetess. But we all are aware that she is equally famous as a lyricist composing for movies and dramas. She is a leading lyricist today. While coming up with lyrics she has tried different formats of it. She has written much in the format of `lavani` and `goulan` and given a certain depth to these formats. This book is compiled of many such forms, it includes many of her famous duets. Though she wrote it on a commercial basis, she did not lose her passion for writing.
