As highly recommended as humanly possible!!! I discovered this series a few years back and loved every last page I was able to absorb - or be absorbed into, as the case may be! I just downloaded this version and can't wait to read it again! THE MOST compelling and beloved Universe into which I have ever had the pleasure of diving! (Unfortunately, they limit my rating to a mere 5 stars, whereas I am inclined to say ot deserves to be into the 20s, at the very least...)

The beginning for the Liaden Universe. Fast paced with compelling characters. My fifth or sixth time reading it and the humor still makes me laugh! Highly highly recommended!

Val Con is a man who was broken and chained to the will of others. Finding his way back to himself and his clan is one thing. Finding the other half of his heart and winning her trust on top of it gives him something to fight even harder for.
