The story has twists and turns which prevent it from being standard - and predictable - fare. Both of the two main characters, Nicholas and Samantha, have been forced by circumstances in their lives to make choices neither is proud of. They have a rocky beginning when they first meet in jail. Even once they're shackled to each other, it takes a bit for them to start to work together. Each is also being sought by an adversary. A true page turner and a great series start.

I couldn't put it down. It was a fresh take on romance, a welcome dip into the mores and practice of the era, full fledged characters, a plausible and well paced plot, a HEA to sigh over.

Mind blowing. l couldn't put down the book after started reading .Shelly you are an excellent writter .And how the journey started of the two main character, the running ,chasing, the romance, emotions everything was so good. Keep writing. And thank you.
