About the author

Alex Woolf is a prolific and widely respected author of fiction and non fiction. He has written more than 80 books, and has edited many more. Although he is best-known as a children's author, he has also written extensively for adults. In 2019, he won the Fiction Express Award for his book Mystery at Moon Base One.

Eve O'Brien is an illustrator and picture book maker based in London, UK. She has a bachelors degree in Illustration from Plymouth University and an MA Children's Book Illustration course from the Cambridge School of Art.

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930) was, like his creation John Watson, both a writer and a medical doctor. Born in Edinburgh in Scotland, he began writing short stories while studying medicine. Relentlessly curious about a vast range of subjects, his interests were reflected in the vast array of knowledge that Sherlock Holmes exhibited in his stories.
