About this ebook

Emily and Jake are the perfect couple. Or so everyone says. But Emily just read a letter that has shattered her perfect world. Now she only has one thing on her mind… which one of her friends is sleeping with her husband?

Emily watches Jake as he makes small talk with their children, still the perfect man she married years ago. But when the phone rings and he answers before quickly putting it down again, she sees the look on her husband’s face – guilt. She knows the signs – after all, she’s been lying to him for years.

Working with Jake at the local doctor’s surgery, Emily starts to listen at closed doors and read things she shouldn’t, hoping to find the truth about her husband. Soon she learns that hers isn’t the only family telling lies to each other. Is there anyone Emily can trust? And who is behind the letter to Jake?

When a second letter, revealing a wife’s hidden pregnancy, is sent to the woman’s husband, it has disastrous consequences. And as more angry letters revealing people’s biggest secrets begin to appear, fingers point at Emily. After all, she’s the one with access to everyone’s private history, and she’s the one with a score to settle. Emily says she didn’t do it. But this isn’t the first time Emily has lied. What happens next will have you questioning everything…

You might have already decided that Emily is guilty, but as each twist is revealed, you’ll begin to doubt everyone in this quiet little town. This is a psychological thriller that will keep you up all night!

Trust Me , well its all about trust isn't in the long run. Jake and Emily are married and work together. Jake is the local doctor and Emily manages his office. Secrets that only Jake and the office start spreading around time and there are bad consequences. Everyone looks at everyone else suspiciously. Jake at Emily, Emily at Jake, Jake and Emily at their staff . What is their daughter Millie up to? Who can you trust? Who would do this ? The pages will turn themselves, though I figured it out it was still a fun ride as I yelled you can trust him, then quickly changed my mind and said no don't. Sheryl Browne is a great story teller and never disappoints.

Trust is a prevalent theme in this book, as you can tell by the title too, and boy does it explore every inch of trust in detail. I loved how a little nugget of leaked information could be the catalyst of such destruction! Every relationship was brought into question. Each person had something to hide. As humans, haven’t we all got baggage we don’t wish to share? Baggage is a part of life after all. Facing this thought head on, ‘Trust Me’ is scary. It also explores how frail relationships are and how quickly worlds can shatter. I loved that the main setting was a village doctors’ surgery and I thought Jake and Tom’s relationship and background gave such good history to the story. Emily’s past layered everything on thickly and the surprises were just, wow! I went from biting my nails for Emily to biting them for her daughter. Sheryl captured teenagers-in-the-house perfectly. All that hormonal angst - it was like a time bomb waiting to detonate. The finger pointing amongst the village was fearful! The heat and blame bounced all over the place and it was brought together brilliantly. The ending, whoosh! It’s mega as the secrets spill. Just when I thought I knew a character, something happened to make me change my mind. Forgiveness is also a huge part of this story and it made me think deeply. Some things are forgivable, others not so much. Can this broken family find a way of coming back together? Who was keeping secrets? Who was telling lies? Find out when you read the book!

Trust Me reads like one of those twisty rollercoasters! Just when you think you might have it figured out, it twists and turns around again. Set in a lovely little village it concerns the lives of their local GP, his family and those residents being targeted by an anonymous letter writer who exposes all the deep, dark secrets harbored within those families. Happy hunting trying to figure out who it is!
